Stephen Olaide Aremu is an instructor at the Digital School of Innovation. He brings a rich and diverse academic background to the institution, holding an associate degree in Health Sciences (summa cum laude) from the University of the People, California, USA, a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Nigeria, a medical degree with distinction from Siberian State Medical University, Tomsk, Russian Federation, a master's degree in Psychology from National Research Tomsk State University, and a master's degree in Medical Microbiology from Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria.
Stephen's professional journey is marked by his dedication to advancing public health and medical education. He is currently a research assistant in the laboratory of Professor Matthew Olaleke Aremu, the Dean of the Faculty of Science at the Federal University of Lafia. His research interests are broad, encompassing professional burnout among healthcare workers, diagnostic errors in emergency medicine, the role of intestinal microbiota in the development of neuropathological conditions, and the development of next-generation vaccines.
Stephen has a notable history of collaborative research, including a significant study on professional burnout among healthcare workers in Russia. His commitment to public health is further exemplified by his fellowship with the Academy of Public Health's Young Professionals in Public Health (YPPH) program and his previous internship at the West African Institute of Public Health.
As an instructor, Stephen combines his extensive academic and research experience with a passion for innovation in digital education. His goal is to inspire and equip the next generation of healthcare professionals and researchers with the knowledge and skills needed to address complex health challenges in a rapidly evolving digital world.
